The Issaquah School District’s Parent Advisory provides a space for parents and families of students with disabilities to connect with district leaders, share perspectives, ask questions, and provide feedback.

The Advisory supports open dialogue, listening, and collaboration around the programs, practices, and services that support students with disabilities. Families have opportunities to hear department updates, share community perspectives, and help identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.

The purpose of Parent/Caregiver Advisory is to strengthen communication and partnership between families and the district in support of students with disabilities.

 

Time: 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

At the event, you can:

  • Explore our current high schools and learn what makes each one unique.
  • Discover the New High School’s college and career-connected programs in Robotics & Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Health Sciences, with full-time and part-time options opening in fall 2027.
  • Connect with students, educators and community members.
  • Share your ideas and perspectives to help inform future programming.

The event is an opportunity to learn more about high school options across the district and contribute to the vision for the New High School.

Students Explore Career Pathways Through Career Kickstart Summer Immersive

More than 40 Issaquah School District students explored future career possibilities through Career Kickstart: Summer Immersive, a four-day program featuring workplace tours, job shadows and hands-on learning experiences. Supported by local businesses, community partners and the Issaquah Schools Foundation, the program helped students build professional skills, expand their networks and gain valuable insight into life after high school.
